Bulls & Bears

This was a poem I had written around 1986 – during a Bull run…

Said the Bull to the Bear

“It isn’t fair, it isn’t fair

I have been searching everywhere

For every bond, for every share”

“Sober down, Oh sober down”

Said the Bear, with a frown

Yet said the bull as he shook

“Look there bear, just look, just look

At Telco, Tisco, Thomas Cook

How they hide in every nook”

“Sober down, Oh sober down”

Said the Bear, with a frown

“See my patience, see my calm

As I wait and scratch my palm

I’ll get Telco and ShreeRam

I’ll get all, I need no charm

“Very soon I’ll rule the town

For what goes up – must come down!!!”
